Adductor brevis

Origin

Inferior pubic ramus and body of the pubis.

Insertion

Pectineal line and upper part of the linea aspera.

Action

Adducts and weakly flexes the thigh, running deep to the adductor longus.

Nerve supply

Anterior division of the obturator nerve (L2–L4).

Blood supply

Profunda femoris branches.

Clinical relevance

It separates the anterior from the posterior obturator nerve division — the landmark for pectineus/longus vs magnus in nerve blocks.
