Sclera of the medial eye anterior to the equator.
Action
Adducts the eye — the convergent partner of accommodation in the near triad.

Oculomotor nerve (CN III) — inferior division.

Ophthalmic artery.
Clinical relevance
CN III palsy leaves the eye 'down and out' via unopposed lateral rectus; medial rectus recession treats convergent squint.
